With its manufacturing site in South Carolina, Nation Ford Chemical is the world’s largest producer of Sulfanilic Acid (4-Aminobenzenesulfonic acid) and the only company that offers all four grades. In addition to  USA based manfucturing, NFC has forged a strong partnership with China’s most efficient, highest quality producer of Asian-sourced Sulfanilic Acid.  This arrangement allows NFC to provide USA and China sulfanilic acid globally with high-quality and high-volume production and provides a reliable supply of low-cost products.

Sulfanilic acid is used as an intermediate to make higher value-added products. Industrial applications for sulfanilic acid include its use as an intermediate for the production of paper brighteners and concrete plasticizers. NFC’s pure grade of sulfanilic acid is also used to make food dyes and pharmaceuticals.

Nation Ford Chemical has registered sulfanilic acid in Europe as a substance with greater than 1,000 MT of exports to the EU under the REACH legislation.
